COMMUNITY GROUPS CONTINUE THIS WEEK
Our community groups will meet at various times and locations for eight consecutive weeks in January and February.  There are still groups with open slots if you are not already part of a group. Click on this link to register for one of the groups. If you cannot find a group that works for you, there is a place at the bottom of the form to comment on what would best serve your needs. We may create a few additional groups based on the demand. Please let us know if you need any assistance.

COLLEGE-AGED/YOUNG ADULT BIBLE TALK & FELLOWSHIP — Thursday, January 23 @ 7:30PM
You are invited to meet this Tuesday at 7:30 at the church building for a Bible Talk Group and fellowship (Discussion begins at 8PM). If you are unable to attend or have questions, please contact Andres Perez 678-732-5027, or Lilly Espinosa 678-793-5130.  Text if you would like to be added to a Group Chat to receive texts on other dates and other gatherings outside of church.

WORSHIP NIGHT — Saturday, January 25 @ 7PM

Please join the Northview Worship team as we host a Worship Night on January 25th at 7PM.  We have invited all the Atlanta-area sister churches to join us as we worship God through music, prayer and the reading of scripture.

WORKSHOP LED BY DAVE POCTA “TOWARD A DEEPER SPIRITUALITY” — Saturday, February 08
Northview will be hosting a workshop by Dave Pocta on Saturday, February 8th, from 2:00-4:00 PM. It is entitled “Toward a Deeper Spirituality.” This workshop is open to all and there is no cost to attend. The linked flyer includes a description of the workshop. 

A new year is a good time to make sure the Church Directory has all of your up-to-date information.  Please check the Directory to be sure we have correct email, home address and phone number.  Remember, this is an internal tool that does not make your information publicly available outside of our church family.

RANSOMED ATLANTA METRO SINGLES WEEKEND — February 14-16, 2020
Please join us in Atlanta, GA for the Atlanta Metro Singles Weekend, RANSOMED, February 14th – 16th 2020. Our fellowship weekend includes worship, community enrichment projects, a church service, and a Valentine’s Day Party Saturday night, featuring food, drinks, and DJ Ron Michel!! Join ~200 Singles from across the country for an exciting weekend where we meditate and reflect on being purchased with the blood of Christ.  Click on the link for registration and cost information.

PRAYER REQUESTS 
  • Update: Thank you for your prayers for Rick Miller’s father.  Sadly, Rick’s father passed away on January 12.  Services were held on Saturday in North Carolina.  Please pray for comfort for the family.
  • Update: Marius Vorster is still at Kennestone Hospital where the doctors are trying to control his pain.  Marius had emergency surgery Saturday.  His recovery is going to be long and likely painful.  Please continue to pray for him and June.  If you would like to send cards, Vorster’s home address is 2812 Jamont Ct, Marietta, GA 30068.
  • New: Prayers requested for the family of Blake Neyland in the loss of his mother. You can send cards to Blake’s father Bob Neyland at 8118b Sawyer Brown Road Nashville TN 37221. Thank you.
  • Update: Ron and Carolyn Massengill really appreciate your prayers for his surgery on Thursday. Everything went well and we are grateful to God and to all of you. Please continue to pray for Ron’s recovery.
  • Please pray for Tami Savage’s sister Sam who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer. She survived breast cancer 18 years ago but this prognosis does not look good. Please pray for healing and that Tami can offer support to her in Phoenix from here.
  • Please pray for David Fenton as he is attending boot camp for the Navy in Illinois.  His only communication with the “outside world” is through paper mail for the next few weeks so please send him notes of encouragement!  Address:

  • Please continue to pray for JD Sapp (son of Steve and Kim Sapp) who is no longer in ICU but remains on dialysis.  
  • Please pray Nick Warner (son of Tom and Linda Warner) who recently had surgery to remove a blood clot in his leg. 
  • Please pray for a co-worker of Loyal Christensen, Kim Arant.  Kim has had an ongoing battle with breast cancer for 9 years and now it has returned. Please pray for healing and that God is glorified through her fight with cancer
  • Please pray for Vicki Walls’s daughter in law who is nearing the end of her life.  Please pray for strength for Vicki, her son as well as the rest of the Walls family during this time.
  • Please pray for Patti Hunter and her family.  Patti’s mom had a stroke a few weeks ago and is now living with Alex and Patti while she is recovering.  Please pray for a full recovery.
